BMG was founded by Dr. HYON with the cooperation of Kyoto University.
1986.6
Through collaboration of Gunze Ltd., BMG started production of Polyglycolide (PGA) which is used for producing biodegradable suture. (First mass production in Japan, receiving production arrival from Ministry of Health & Welfare)

Commenced production of Poly-L-lactide (PLLA) for biodegradable bone fixture.

Commenced production of Guided Tissue Regeneration (GTR) membrane for dentistry.

Commenced production of Poly(L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone)(LCL) for producing biodegradable monofilament sutures.

Licensed out a patent for the method of producing very durable artificial joints to Biomet Inc. (USA).

Received approval from Ministry of Health, Welfare and Labour to manufacture a denture-base resin “ACRYSHOT®” (Production & distribution from 2008)
