Poly(L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone) (LCL) is polymer obtained the ring-opening polymerization of L-lactide (cyclic dimer of L-lactic acid) and ε-caprolactone as monomers.

Potential application of LCL
LCL polymers are mainly applied for absorbable suture (LCL(75:25)) and artificial dura (LCL(50:50)). LCL(75:25) filament is used as monofilament because the filament obtained from LCL(75:25) is tough and flexible.
